My first digital oil on canvas using ArtRage. Incredible! This program has such a minimalist and practical layout and interface that I could paint as I would on a real canvas. You can also paint using water colors and whatever brushes.

This is an emulation of one of Disney’s 1951 “Alice in Wonderland”. As this is the first one, believe me there are some “imperfections”. So, it is not on sale. It took 4 months to make (August-December). Actually, the final touches were done today! So, the painting is ready in a very perfect day! December 21st, 2012. It was a step by step process. First: If you work on a big Canvas like this one, you usually divide in as many square areas as possible in order to facilitate the underlying rough drawing in which you start the first brushes. This first experience was wonderful for me because I could feel how the oil works! How the oil dissolves in order to achieve that colour you want! Furthermore, the capacity of recreation in Oil technique is quite something! While in Aquarela and Gauche, and mainly in Acrylics, you have to brush all in a hurry, working with Oil is quite different. The ink lasts days to dry! So, you can work on it on and on and on, improving texture and the spectrum and the degree of colours! I hope this very first painting can be the one of many works to come!
One of few 3D animation that has the same magic, enchanting EVER pictured on movie theatres. No doubt, my favourite one! Next Friday October 12th on a movie theatre near you.
Hello folks! Welcome to my website where I intend to upload illustrations, paintings and my own animated features (see section “Portfolio”). Enjoy this space in order to leave your comments (they will be moderated) concerning to what will be posted and uploaded. I chose this site (WordPress) because this offered me the exact layout needed for uploading personal and copyrighted material. As well as being a Linguist, I’m also an Illustrator and Animator (in pre-service). Feel free to leave your comments regarding what is published here, mainly, the illustrations and animated features. Concerning the estimate cost of the illustrations and animated features, these are based on a standard table of the market (the price may vary although). Much of the business involved are set between the interested person and I (primarily, focusing on the price of the material plus the creativity of the artist). The estimate cost of organic illustrations and digital ones may vary, though. The illustrations bellow are emulations from Disney’s artwork books and art books during my studying process (all their rights reserved).
This was, without any doubt, one of my difficulties. This is one of the main background scenes of Disney’s “Alice in the Wonderland” (1951). In order to achieve such a result, I painted in various layers using mixed techniques. First, I used aquarela and guache (Talens). Days later, I started to paint using acrilics (which I used for almost everything in this one). Finally, I used little of soft pastel and nankin. I spent a month and a half in this painting. Size: A3. Date: June, 2012.

Different techniques on Illustration
These paints consists a brief summary of what I’ve been training in the last three months (May, June and July). I tried to train as many techniques as I could: acrilic (Disney Alice’s flowers), Chinese aquarelas, and pastel. I also painted using Dutch guache. I’ll post in the next few days.
